Spring Into BIKINI Season
It’s spring time! This is the time of year when most women freak out at that one little “B” word. Yes, you ladies know what I am talking about. That one little word that means you will be half naked baring your body for the world to see. BIKINI. No pressure right? With springtime almost gone and summer fast approaching that means bikini season is almost here. No worries though, I got you covered. Whatever your body type or age, here are my top bikini tips to staying in shape all year round.
As I sat in the dermatologist office about to get part of my inner thigh biopsied for the second time in two weeks, I came to the realization that my tanning days are over for good. I was sad. My olive skin looks better enhanced from the sun or the tanning bed. Being a health advocate, I don’t have many bad habits, but tanning is one of them. I love to tan. I reflected back on my tanning history and thought…uh oh…not good at all. I loved the sun in the summer and the tanning bed in the winter. At 37 years old, I had done some serious damage to my skin over the years. Goodbye golden glow. Hello skin cancer.
As we begin to age our skin changes. The pores on our face are larger. Sun damage is more visible on our face, neck, and chest. Overall the majority of our skin all over our body is not as taut as it used to be. It's subtle, but enough for us to notice to want to do something about it. I am not saying it is time to run off to the plastic surgeon or do anything drastic. Changing a few everyday factors can make a difference on the quality of your skin from the inside out. Here is the Healthy Housewives green guide to look your best at any age.
